I started making contour scupltures in 2007 when i wanted to make a gift for a friend.  It started by taking inspiration from contour models and quickly evolved into becoming a three dimensional object which I display in an open perspex box frame.  The forms don't follow a design other than the orginal shape cut in the centre.  From that they evolve naturally, I can influence the direction they take but I have little control over the final outcome (which is what I like about them).  I haven't made one for a number of years, but it is my dream to make a full height metal sculpture that you can move around, in and out.  I have many, many ideas I'd like to explore but finding the time is difficult.
