Metal lamp.

In November 2013 I took a metal sculpture course at UCL as I had never had the opportunity to work with metal before.  I enrolled on the course because I knew I wanted to make my contour sculptures in metal and needed advice about the best way to approch that.  The couse was 3 hours a week over seven weeks, so I knew I wouldn't have time to make a contour sculpture so I made a metal lamp instead.  The shade is made of folded aluminium, each section rivited to the next.  The stand I crafted from a square section steel tube, I cut into both ends, the bottom four times and the top eight and bent the strands round into position to support the shade
