I started making Picture frames in 2011 when I received a piece of Pear for my model making that had a waney (natural) edge.  Because of its shape I couldn't use it but I couldn't bring myself to dispose of it.   I later had the idea of cutting it into strips and making picture frames.  This has snowballed into my near obssessive collecting of weird and wonderful timbers.  I now use over 15 different types of timber for my framing.  My work is displayed locally at the Inverness fireplace and heating centre (http://www.invernessfireplaceandheatingcentre.com)
